How to Choose a Web Development Company in Delhi

A practical checklist for Delhi and NCR businesses comparing web development partners, proposals, technology and long-term support.

How to Choose a Web Development Company in Delhi

Delhi NCR has thousands of web vendors, from solo developers to large agencies. The difficult part is not finding someone who can make pages; it is finding a team that understands your offer, builds reliable technology and remains accountable when real customers arrive.

Use this checklist before you compare proposals. It is designed for founders and business owners who want a website that supports sales—not just a visual redesign.

01

Start with business understanding

A serious partner should ask about customer segments, buying objections, lead quality, internal follow-up and the action each page should drive. If discovery begins with colours and animations before goals, the project may look polished without solving the commercial problem.

Ask the agency to summarize your business and recommend the primary conversion journey. Their answer will quickly show whether they are thinking like a delivery vendor or a growth partner.

02

Inspect live work, not only screenshots

Open past projects on mobile and desktop. Check load behaviour, navigation, forms, writing quality and small interaction details. A portfolio image cannot show whether a site is accessible, responsive or stable.

Look for work relevant to your complexity rather than only your industry. A team that has shipped dashboards, e-commerce workflows and multilingual sites may be well equipped even if it has not served an identical business.

  • Test at least three live URLs
  • Ask what the agency actually delivered
  • Request an example of a difficult problem they solved
  • Confirm whether work is still maintained
03

Compare proposals line by line

Two proposals with the same page count can include very different work. Clarify copywriting, custom design, CMS setup, analytics, search foundations, QA, deployment, training and warranty. Also confirm the number of unique templates and revision rounds.

The cheapest quote often excludes activities that become essential halfway through the project. A written scope protects both sides and makes price comparison meaningful.

04

Ask about ownership and operations

Your company should control the domain, analytics, advertising and production accounts. Source-code ownership, licence obligations and handover terms should be documented. Avoid arrangements where basic access depends permanently on one vendor.

Ask how urgent fixes, routine changes and larger improvements are priced after launch. A website is an operating asset; maintenance should not be an afterthought.

05

Evaluate communication before signing

Notice response quality during the sales process. Clear questions, written next steps and realistic timelines are stronger signals than a fast generic quote. Confirm who will lead the project and how often you will see progress.
